As part of the STS Italia 2025 Conference, we are happy to host a Social Party, with great music, delicious food, and the opportunity to enjoy an evening with colleagues in the stunning Air and Water Building of the Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci.
What to expect
- A vegetarian/vegan buffet and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, all prepared by Rob de Matt in collaboration with ZeroPerCento;
- A DJ performance and a live set by Paprika, a musical collective based in Milan that blends together Detroit techno, latin groove, and jazz standards into a familiar yet unpredictable sound. House music, spicy grooves, and handful of jazz on top are the reasons why they go to a piano store to buy a synthesizer (Pinch, 2001);
- A technologically and historically dense location: The Air and Water Building (Padiglione Aeronavale) of Museo Nazionale Scienza e Tecnologia Leonardo da Vinci hosts the permanent exhibitions dedicated to flight and navigation. We will be surrounded by striking artefacts such as the 1925 Conte Biancamano ocean liner, the 1921 Ebe Schooner, and the 2013 AC72 “Luna Rossa” catamaran.

- Registration: The venue has limited capacity! To secure your spot, make sure to register to the Social Party along with the conference registration. Access to the party is only for conference participants.
- How to get there: Entrance is on Via Olona 6/b. You can get to the museum via metro (M2, M4 stop Sant’Ambrogio) or bus (lines 58, 94). The location is on the ground floor and barrier-free.
