Please note that conference registration requires a valid STS Italia membership for 2025. The conference fee and membership (and tickets for the social dinner) can be paid during the online registration.

Untenured: PhD students, post-docs, low-waged employees, researchers with temporary contracts (e.g. Italian RTD-A), and the unemployed.

Tenured: Researchers still in tenure-track (e.g. Italian RTD-B and RTT researchers) are considered tenured.

Audience: participants who are not included in the conference program in any way. 

Registration includes:

  1. Access to the venue, wi-fi, and all conference sessions, plenaries, and sub-plenaries
  2. Documentation and conference kit
  3. Certificate of attendance (upon request)
  4. Five coffee breaks
  5. Two buffet lunches
  6. Booking at hotels at a reduced rate
  7. Access (with supplementary payment) to the social party
  8. Access (with supplementary payment) to guided tours

Cancellation policy

Cancellations must be communicated in writing to: conference@stsitalia.org

  • Until April 14, 2025: 100% refund of the conference fee (note that the STS Italia membership fee cannot be refunded).
  • After April 14, 2025: No refund

FAQs

How do I register for the conference?


To register for the conference, you need to have an activated account and be logged into the conference platform. If you already have such an account (used for organizing a panel or submitting a paper), please continue to use the same account in order to avoid confusion.  You can log in here: https://stsitalia.org/wp-login.php 

If you do not yet have an account, please create one here (don’t forget to activate your account before trying to log in): https://stsitalia.org/wp-login.php?action=register    

After creating and activating your account, you can log in and pay for the STS Italia membership and conference fee. You can choose between the bundle STS Italia membership + conference fee (tenured or untenured), or, if you already have a membership, you can just pay the conference fee. During checkout, you can opt to purchase a ticket for the conference party (https://stsitalia.org/social-party/).

If you pay with a credit card, the payment will be processed immediately. If you pay by bank transfer, the processing might take several days.

What does the conference fee cover?

The conference fee will cover:

How do I pay the conference fee?

You can pay using a credit card or bank transfer. If you pay with credit card, the payment will be processed immediately. If you pay by bank transfer, the processing might take several days.

If, for reasons of reimbursement, you require an invoice, please write to info@stsitalia.org 

Will I receive confirmation of my registration?

Yes, you will receive confirmation of your registration once the payment has been processed.

If I have already registered and paid but I am no longer able to attend, what can I do?

Cancellations must be communicated in writing to: conference@stsitalia.org

Is it possible to attend the conference if you are not chairing a panel or presenting a paper?

Yes, you can pay for access to the conference via the ‘Audience’ option. There is no deadline (i.e., early bird or late registration) for this option.

What about dietary restrictions?

We will send a form to all registered participants in which you can indicate your specific dietary restrictions. This form will be sent to you after the end of the registration period (April 14).
