How might we work towards achieving ‘good’ technoscience?

How can we – with our various technologies and ways of knowing, in diverse environments facing different challenges, across disciplinary boundaries and wide distances both geographical as well as socio- cultural, together with Others of all sorts – achieve good relations?
To address what might count as technoscience for good – and for whom – we need to question our methodologies and concepts, interrogate our epistemological and ethical frameworks, and redesign our technoscientific landscapes, institutions, infrastructures, and practices.

About Us

STS ITALIA
Società Italiana di Studi su Scienza e Tecnologia

The Italian Society for the Social Studies of Science and Technology (STS Italia) was established in 2005 with the objective of nurturing an Italian network of researchers engaged in the study of science and technology through the analysis of the social dynamics in which these are embedded and which form their background.

The field of Science and Technology Studies (STS) is now a well-established and internationally recognized research area bringing together scholars and professionals active in different disciplinary fields and mobilising the interest of academia, institutions and business alike.

As a scientific society, STS Italia aims to promote initiatives that increase the visibility and dissemination of the relationship between technoscience and society, as well as the creation of a space for meeting and sharing the different research experiences of those in Italy and elsewhere who are interested in studying the social dimension of technoscientific processes.
